HypeURMind is a mental toughness course that teaches you the importance of mental training. Learn significant skills like goal setting, arousal control, the use of affirmations (positive self talk), and mental imagery through interactive learning and exercises (techniques defined near bottom of page). It doesn’t matter which sport you’re involved in- whether it’s individual/team, or recreational/competitive- HypeURMind can take you to the next level. HypeURMind can be tailored to suit a single individual or can be taught as a 3 week group program; breaking down mental imagery and goal setting (as well as many other skills) into a step-by-step process that is very easy to follow. Once sufficient at these skills, an athlete will be a better performer at everything he/she chooses to put their mind to.

Individual tailored sessions

 

HypeURMind realizes that every athlete is unique, which is why we offer a one-on-one consultation. These tailored sessions will be focused directly at the athlete and will help them work on their specific needs.  The group lessons listed below offer much of the same techniques and information, but they have been broken apart to teach the “basics” of mental toughness to a group. The tailored program, however, is not restricted to a time limit, so we are able to spend more time on more relevant areas.

Group Program Breakdown and Prices:

Group settings seem to be a fun and easy way to learn a new skill. This 3 week course teaches the basics of goal setting, use of affirmations, arousal control, and mental imagery through interactive games and lessons. Combining class room theory and interactive games allows for the athletes to get a “hands on” feel for everyday use of their new skills. This is a fun way to learn something new and something extremely beneficial.

3 week course broken into: 2 days/ week (Monday & Wednesday OR Tuesday & Thursday) and 1 hour sessions/day.

                Single Athlete: $180.00

                Multiple Athletes: $150/ Athlete

Definitions:

Goal setting - You know what you want to achieve, but how do you do it? Setting goals is an effective tool that can be utilized inside or outside of sport. It is a step by step process that allows you to be more clear and precise about your desires (goals) and how to achieve them.

Arousal control - Imagine this: you have been given a high pressure situation in your chosen sport ( whether it be a penalty shot in hockey, a free throw in basketball, a penalty kick in soccer or some other highly stressful situation), arousal control helps to increase the likelihood that you will perform your best. We cover strategies that will keep you cool, calm and collected when dealing with key situations.

Use of affirmations (positive self talk) - Ever make a mistake? Of course you have, it's natural. Affirmations help you as an athlete and an individual to stay on top of your game after a mistake or something else that may normally take the wind out of your sails. By using affirmations, you will become more confident and consistent in your play.

Mental imagery - Combined with the other tools noted above, mental imagery can help take you to the next level. You will learn how to visualize and mentally see yourself making important and correct decisions, which will increase the consistency of your optimal performance.
